SHILLONG:
BJP national president JP Nadda arrived in Shillong on February 14 to address an election rally held at Barapathar in the capital city, ahead of the assembly polls.
Nadda was welcomed by senior BJP leaders, including state president Ernest Mawrie, MLAs – AL Hek and Sanbor Shullai, among others.
For the first time in Meghalaya, BJP is contesting all 60 seats in the upcoming assembly elections.
A number of high-profile leaders will be visiting the state in the coming days, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
