SHILLONG:
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Meghalaya celebrated its 44th Foundation Day at the BJP’s state party’s office and in all Mandals of Khasi, Jaintia and Garo Hills on April 6.
BJP state party president Ernest Mawrie hoisted the Party flag at the office and Mandals in presence of State Office Bearers, State Executive Members, Morcha heads, District Presidents, Mandal Presidents and all Karyakartas of the Party. Floral tribute was offered to the founding member of the Party, Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay which was followed by the live video presentation of the speech of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP National President JP Nadda.
To commemorate the occasion, the BJP has launched ‘Sewa Saptah’ campaign across the country-, a week-long programme from April 6 to April 14.
Speaking on the occasion, BJP National President JP Nadda congratulated all the Karyakartas of BJP, the largest political party on Sewa Saptha.
Nadda spoke on the journey of BJP, the recent win, and the monumental success of the party in the North East and other parts of the country which according to him speaks volumes of the confidence of the people in the ideals and functioning of BJP, which is constantly striving to better the lives of the people.
While promising to always work for advancement and upliftment of the citizens, Nadda highlighted programmes like Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat which is creating harmony and bonding amongst all sections of society in the entire country.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi while remembering the founders of the party and their farsightedness and selfless contribution in establishing the BJP, paid homage to them.
Extending his greetings on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanthi, PM Modi said that the BJP will continue to do all good work to ensure that the country progresses.
“BJP abides by the Constitution and works day and night to ensure upholding of the provisions of the Constitution with all sincerity,” he said.
Modi also emphasised that the democratic spirit is integral in the BJP mode of functioning and the party dedicates it’s works without discrimination for the hundred crores of citizens of the country.
“Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas Sabka Prayas ensures unprecedented socio-economic inclusion in all spheres. Ensuring social justice, equality and employment,” he said.
PM Modi further emphasised that political culture of BJP encourages to take the whole world together and urged the youths, Mahila and other Karyakartas to learn while they work from positive instances worldwide.
