BJP will impose GST on crematorium services also: Tripura Congress MLA

Roy Barman said the BJP wants to come to power again by making false promises, but people have understood that this government is being run by frauds.

AGARTALA:

Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman, on August 3, said the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tripura is imposing Goods and Services Tax (GST) on all essential services and soon it will impose it on crematorium services as well.

“They are looting the money of people. They have imposed GST on rice and lentils in hospitals and now they will impose it on crematorium services as well. They have imposed GST everywhere. Even now people have to provide GST for final rights in the crematorium,” he claimed.

Lashing out heavily at the ruling BJP, Roy Barman said that the BJP wants to come to power again by making false promises, but people have understood that this government is being run by frauds.

“Using Hindutva, the BJP is trying to remain in power, but people have realised that this government is being run by a bunch of traitors. The BJP is using people like syringes. They will use them and then throw them away, and when people are in trouble, no one will come to help them. But when somebody comes to us, we never judge them politically. If anyone is in trouble Sudip, Birajit Sinha, Gopal Roy, and Asish Saha will come forward for help,” he said.

Barman was attending a joining programme where 466 voters of 194 families joined Congress from different political parties.

“BJP has lost its ground in Tripura and people have started trusting the Congress. The people of the state have seen communist rule for 25 years, and after they got fed up they trusted the BJP. But what has the BJP done in the name of development, it can be said that it has betrayed the people,” he added.
