AIZAWL:
Body of one Lalruatkimi (26), who was found dead in her rented room in Delhi’s Munirka area on September 13 afternoon, was brought by a direct flight to the lone Lengpui airport near Aizawl on September 15.
Lalruatkimi’s body was taken from the airport to her home town, Thenzawl in central Mizoram’s Serchhip district on the same day.
Reports said that autopsy report was being awaited while Delhi Police detained her former roommates and the landlord for interrogations.
The girl made frantic calls to her father in Thenzawl and informed the latter that her former roommates were coming to take back some goods which they left in her room in lieu of the money they owed her.
She reportedly told her father that her former roommates came with some boys and was afraid for her life, but the connection snapped and when the father tried to call back, her phone was switched off.
Some people, suspected to be involved in the girl’s death, claimed that she committed suicide by hanging herself inside the room.
The incident took the social media by storm in Mizoram since September 13.
