Shillong, Feb 22: Police in Ri-Bhoi district have made a breakthrough in its investigation of the murder of a 10 year old boy and arrested two men on Thursday afternoon.
The arrested individuals identified as Pynshailang Warjri (32) and Banshngain Tynsong (28), both residents of Umtangar, Ri-Bhoi are charged with involvement in the cold blooded murder of Kitdorlang Marbaniang.
According to the Ri Bhoi Superintendent of Police (SP), a written FIR was received from Shynsharlang Nonghyndah stating that on the afternoon of February 18, the dead body of the boy, Kitdorlang Marbaniang (10 yrs), was recovered from the garden of Comand Nongrang in Umtangar, Ri Bhoi District. It was noted that the deceased boy had been missing since February 17.
The SP further added that during the investigation, two suspected persons have been arrested, and police custody has been sought to determine the motive and identify other co-accused involved in the crime.
