BSF organises civic action programme at South West Garo Hills district

During the programme BSF unit distributed sports items for youths, agricultural tools and water storage tanks for farmers, stationeries, and school bags for students.

The 28 Battalion Border Security Force (BSF), Headquarter Tura Sector organized a civic action programme on March 13 at bordering village of South West Garo Hills along the Indo-Bangladesh border.

During the programme BSF unit distributed sports items for youths, agricultural tools and water storage tanks for farmers, stationeries, and school bags for students.

About 250 people from bordering villages attended the programme. The local population appreciated the gesture of 28 Bn BSF and stated that such programmes will go a long way in further consolidating the bond and harmonious relationship prevailing between the locals and Border Security Force.

BSF officers, civil officials of Zikzak block, Police officers of South West Garo Hills districts, Nukma of bordering villages, students, teachers and other villagers witnessed the event.
