The state cabinet on June 27 approved 18 proposals for renaming of roads, villages and institutions.
Accordingly, Harisabha Road, Laban is proposed to be renamed as Bhaskar Choudhury Road.
The Dong Gordon-Bhagyakul locality within Laitumkhrah is proposed to be renamed as Lum Tngen Jai.
Wahliewlong (N) proposed to be renamed as Wahliewlong village; Mawlaisyiem (M) village proposed to be renamed as Mawlaisyiem village, Nobosohphoh Syiemship; Mawlaisyiem (M) village proposed to be renamed as Mawlaisyiem village, Myriaw Syiemship.
Hopkinson Road, Lachaumiere, proposed to be renamed as Martin N Majaw Road.
Jackson Trace Bridge Road up to Ajajhur Bridge (Dhobighat), Lower Lumparing, proposed to be renamed as Brojen Mawlong Road.
Sacred Heart School Road up to Dong Pdeng Road, Lower Lumparing, proposed to be renamed as PL Nongpiur (Bah Bing) Road.
Road from Wah Tashaid to Dong Mawnei, Lower Lumparing proposed to be named as Tendro Ryntathiang Road.
