SHILLONG:
NPP chief and newly elected legislator from South Tura Conrad k Sangma will take up the role as chief minister for the second term.
NPP sources informed that Sangma will be sworn in as the chief minister on March 7.
Sources also said that the NPP, which is the single largest party with 26 MLAs, has already crossed the magic number after receiving the support of the BJP and the other smaller parties, the names of which are yet to be disclosed.
