Conrad warns Mamata of mass exodus from TMC post elections

Addressing a gathering during the NPP poll campaign at Adokgre in North Garo Hills Hills today, Sangma said the word in the political circle has it that most leaders who joined the TMC today had already planned to leave the party after the elections.

Adokgre:

National president of the National People’s Party (NPP) and Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on January 23 warned TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee of a possible mass exodus of party leaders’ post-elections.

Addressing a gathering during the NPP poll campaign at Adokgre in North Garo Hills Hills today, Sangma said the word in the political circle has it that most leaders who joined the TMC today had already planned to leave the party after the elections.

“This is the word in the market; it is not me saying. There is a saying that most of the leaders who joined the TMC today had already planned to leave the TMC after the elections. They are already in contact with different political parties – this is the word political circle. It is my duty to give you (Mamata) a warning,” the Chief Minister said.

“Here is my question to you: Will you want to work the way you are planning to, knowing that these people will leave you after the election? Please find out for yourself,” CM Sangma further asserted during the meeting.
