TURA:
The District Magistrate, West Garo Hills Tura has issued an Order under Section 144 Cr PC in response to complaints and grievances regarding the illegal establishment and operation of check and toll gates in the district. This order prohibits the illegal establishment and operation of Toll/Check gates without proper authorization within the jurisdiction of West Garo Hills District.
Furthermore, the order mandates Sub-Divisional Magistrates, Police personnel, Forest Officials, and other law enforcement officials to identify such toll/check gates within the jurisdiction of West Garo Hills District and immediately dismantle them. Individuals found violating this order will be liable for legal action under relevant provisions.
This order remains in force until withdrawn.
