DYFI accuses BJP of unemployment, to start statewide anti-govt campaign from tomorrow

AGARTALA:

The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) a youth wing of Opposition CPIM will start their state-wide campaign against the BJP-led Tripura government, highlighting the failure of the ruling front on February 10.

Addressing the media, state secretary of DYFI Nabarun Deb said that the BJP led Tripura and Central government are responsible for unemployment in the state, and it is for the BJP that so many youths are jobless today.

Referring a data of parliament, Deb said in the last three years more than 9 lakh unemployed youths committed suicide across the country.

“More than 60 lakh posts under the different departments of Central government are lying vacant. The number of unemployed rates is increasing indiscriminately across the country and in Tripura too”, he alleged.

Nabarun also claimed that Tripura is ranked third in the country when it comes to unemployment. “If you see the data, Haryana stands first followed by Rajasthan and Tripura”, Nabarun told reporters.

The secretary also demanded the state government to release the results of Joint Recruitment Board exam for the recruitment of Group C and D employees in different departments of the Tripura government.

Deb also flagged up an alleged corruption in the recent recruitment process of Tripura State Rifle personnel.

Raising further concern on the plight of terminated teachers, he said, the government is playing with the 10, 323 teachers. Among them, many have died and their family members are now looking for help to sustain their livelihood. Government should think about an alternative route for them to save their families”.

Blaming the state government further for not fulfilling its pre-poll promises, Nabarun said, “In Tripura, the BJP has promised that they will regularize the contractual workers of the state government if voted in power. But after they came into power, they have now started recruitment through outsourcing despite regularizing the contractual workers. We condemned this step. We are demanding that all vacant posts have to filed by the state government. From tomorrow we will launch a movement throughout the state and will go to people to aware them of the failure of the BJP government in state and centre,”
