SHILLONG:
In a surprise move, the Election Commission of India in an order dated February 1, transferred Stephen A Rynjah South West Garo Hills district, Ampati, Superintendent of Police to the post of Superintendent of Police of the Anti-Infiltration Directorate in Tura with immediate effect.
The order stated that the transfer was done in the interest of public service.
