SHILLONG:
The annual Eucharistic Procession of the Shillong Archdiocese will be held on November 13 after a gap of two years.
It may be mentioned that due to the restrictions imposed by the government on large gatherings because of Covid in 2020 and 2021, the Eucharistic Procession was not held.
Barnabas Nongbah, general secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council had informed that this year, the church expects 80,000 faithful to attend the event.
Nongbah informed that on November 13, at 10 am, the Holy Mass will be held at the Calvary which will be led by the Archbishop Victor Lyngdoh.
The Eucharistic Procession will begin at 1:30 pm.
The general secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council also informed that during the Eucharistic Procession only two bands – Don Bosco and Savio Juniorate, will be allowed to play.
Nongbah also informed that no stalls selling food will be allowed inside the compound of the Parish.
