Ex-Tripura CM submits nomination for RS poll, says BJP will return to power

He said in the same way he started working in Tripura in 2015, he will work with the collective effort of all and return BJP to power in 2023.

AGARTALA:

Former chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb, on September 12, filed nomination papers for the sole Rajya Sabha seat in Tripura and claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will return to power in the state as well as in Haryana in 2023 and 2024.

“The party has kept its faith in me and nominated my name as a Rajya Sabha candidate and also given me the responsibility of ‘Pradhari’ of BJP Haryana. Today, along with other state leaders, I came here to file the nomination papers. I express my gratitude to all the people of Tripura. I will spend 15 days in each of these states,” he said.

He said in the same way he started working in Tripura in 2015, he will work with the collective effort of all and return BJP to power in 2023, as well as achieve the target ‘Vision 2047’ in Tripura.

“The BJP will from the government again in Tripura in 2023 and in Haryana in 2024,” he added.

He also thanked all the BJP leaders including national president JP Nadda, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Home Minister Amit Shah for putting their trust in him and projecting him as the Rajya Sabha candidate.

While filing his papers, Deb was accompanied by the Chief Minister Manik Saha, union minister of state Pratima Bhoumik, Pradesh BJP president Rajib Bhattacharjee, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, MP Rebati Tripura, cabinet ministers, MLAs and senior leaders of the ruling party were present.
