Spokesperson of the Voice of the People Party (VPP) Batskhem Myrboh claimed that the party will be a big force to be reckoned with by 2028 and will also ensure the spread of the party across the state.
Commenting on the state party status, Myrboh said the recognition conferred by the Election Commission of India on the VPP as a state party is an achievement.
He said, “We are putting the state on the path of principal politics, and we want to bring clean politics as the top priority because we realised that without clean politics, politics will not be fruitful for the people and we believe that by 2028, we will be a big force to be reckoned with.”
Stating that the party will not be resting on this recognition, he said the party will improve its performance in the future and was confident that the party will be able to do so.
The party’s attention is also directed towards the Council elections in 2024 and also at the Member of Parliament elections.
Myrboh said, “The trust of the people in the party is increasing day by day.”
On the other hand, he said that the party decided to not support any candidate in the Sohïong election.
