Nongstoin:
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on January 18 inducted former HSPDP MLA from Nongstoin, Diostarness Jyndiang along with his supporters into the party fold in a meeting held at Bishop Hall, Nongstoin.
The induction ceremony was attended by Cabinet Minister Sanbor Shullai, convener Meghalaya state election management committee, A L Hek, former MLA of Mawsynram H M Shangpliang, state vice-president, David Kharsati, state president Yuva Morcha, Judy Surong and hundreds of BJP supporters.
Addressing the gathering, Jyndiang said that the BJP is the only party that loves the people and the country the most. He added that since Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister, it motivated him to join the BJP and today it happened.
Whereas, A L Hek expressed his confidence that the BJP will be able to field candidates in all 60 constituencies. He said, “We need a double-engine government in Delhi and at the same time in the state so that we can witness the flow of development everywhere”.
Sanbor Shullai said, “I won the legislative Assembly election from NCP twice but I won’t be able to bring any development or help the people because we are in the opposition. After I joined the BJP, various developmental activities have been able to reach the people
