On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a free Yoga workshop was held in Shillong Golf link, on March 8.
The workshop was organised by yoga instructor Keralin Rajee and fitness trainer Sagar Sharma. Sending her regards to all women on their special day, Keralin conveys how yoga has endless health benefits for women, especially for expecting mothers and those in the post-partum period.
Depression is very common among these women, she mentioned, and Yoga can help in the long run. She recommends everyone to practice yoga, at least twice a week if not every day.
Fitness trainer Sagar Sharma also emphasised the need to follow a fitness regime, he also mentions how yoga has gained massive popularity over the past decade with celebrities from all over the world promoting it.
Workshop participant Jennifer Hek shared how yoga changed her life. “My muscles now feel much stronger and awake,” she encourages everyone to inculcate the practice in their daily routine to feel rejuvenated both mentally and physically
