Govt advocating public on adhering to advisories on meat consumption: Tynsong

“Advisories have been issued to the public that they need to be careful as far as consumption of beef, pork and fish is concerned. We are not stopping you from buying it but advisories are to be adhered to in public interest,” Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said.

Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong, on June 20, stated that the Health, Fisheries, and Animal and Husbandry departments are on their job to advocate the public on meat and fish consumption given that the state has reported diseases in cattle.

“Advisories have been issued to the public that they need to be careful as far as consumption of beef, pork and fish is concerned. We are not stopping you from buying it but advisories are to be adhered to in public interest,” Tynsong said.

Tynsong informed that while the state is taking all precautions to contain the spread of disease, the public have to also play their part in understanding the situation.
