SHILLONG:
The state government has decided to provide connectivity to over 100 locations that require people to cross rivers.
“We need to saturate and get all of them accessible by having suspension bridges or cross ways whatever connectivity that can be given,” said chief minister Conrad Sangma.
He said the government has started working towards ensuring connectivity to such villages as well. “We have decided that at least, anything between 50-100 locations, could be taken up within this year. We may not complete all of them in one year but we are hopeful from a policy perspective, we will achieve this saturation in the next five years’ time,” he said.
