Deputy Chief Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar, on May 11, said that the government will take a call next week on meeting the Harijan Panchayat Committee (HPC), and that the government has filed an affidavit in the court.
“We have filed an affidavit in the High Court stating that HPC has not accepted the government’s proposal, and are waiting for the court’s order on this,” Dhar told media persons.
Asked if there will be any change in the government stand on the relocation, Dhar said that as far as their land demands are concerned, that is not possible.
“Their demand is too high, which is not possible. Since they have approached the High Court, we are waiting for the court’s order and proceed accordingly.
