Mizoram Police along with the Lunglei Battalion of Assam Rifles recovered a huge consignment of war-like stores during two separate operations, on July 2.
Based on specific intelligence about subversive activities Lunglei Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of Spear Corps along with Mizoram Police launched an operation near DC Circuit House Lunglei.
The joint team apprehended a person and recovered 13,500 rounds of 12 Bore Shotgun along with one NX 200 Air Gun was also recovered during the operation.
In the second operation, the joint teams recovered war-like stores near DC Circuit House in Lunglei and seized 2 numbers of .22 Pistols and 50 rounds of .22 ammunition. The individual along with recoveries handed over to Lunglei Police Station for further investigation.
