SHILLONG:
Health Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh, on April 26, said that HR management is very important in the health sector so as to tackle future challenges, and meet the requirements in hospitals, CHCs, and PHCs.
Speaking to media persons after a health review meeting, Lyngdoh said that though the state came out with a Mental Health Policy, achieving the objectives of the policy is of greater significance.
“We have to work very hard, and I am happy to at least observe that there is a close coordination between the administrators and the doctors. We also want to ensure that in the event of the creation of a medical college we should have the necessary manpower,” she said.
She informed that even teaching options must be open to doctors and nurses, so that those who don’t have jobs also can be utilised in different areas.
