Meghalaya racer Jaden Pariat makes India proud, wins British F4 in 6 yrs

Atikur Rehman, a former Indian national rally star and the driving force behind Jaden, who last year placed third as a rookie in one of the two rounds he competed in, stated, "We are overwhelmed by the congratulations and thank everyone who stood with us.

LEICESTERSHIRE (UK):

Young Indian racing star Jaden Pariat of Argenti Motorsport displayed his immense talent with a podium in the first round of the ROKiT British F4 Championship at Donington Park here. He is only the second Indian to get an international podium in a Tatuus F4 car after Kush Maini’s podium in 2017.

For the younger generation hoping to advance to higher levels of Formula Racing, the podium is being hailed as a significant milestone.

Atikur Rehman, a former Indian national rally star and the driving force behind Jaden, who last year placed third as a rookie in one of the two rounds he competed in, stated, “We are overwhelmed by the congratulations and thank everyone who stood with us.

Jaden took the podium and did not let down his guests, who were present with him thanks to Lyca Radio competition winners who received VIP access to the British F4 paddock.

The 16-yr old motorsports competitor from Minerva Virtual School, Lyca Radio, and Bobatree earned a respectable third-place finish overall in Race 2.

He overcome his early setbacks and earned P17. Running in fifth place, he came in for a tyre change but was forced to stop because of a red flag that was raised after an accident in front of him.

Jaden earned a fantastic podium by showcasing his abilities and car handling in slick conditions. He started Race 1 in P17 and finished P11, moving up six positions. He passed five people in Race 3 to finish 12th despite the rain.

In the challenging, chilly, and rainy race with a fully reversed grid, Jaden drove brilliantly to avoid problems as many of his competitors spun off or got into a fight. When competitors gathered in front of him, he held his own and crossed the finish line in third place for his first podium finish. “I’m quite happy with the outcomes we got. I’m overjoyed to have placed second overall in Race 2.

The team did a fantastic job considering the chaotic situation ahead of us and the damp conditions.

I have the most incredible support from everyone at Lyca Radio as well as my team, Argenti. Jaden continued, “I can’t wait for the next race.

The Championship now moves to Brands Hatch for the next three races on 6-7 May.
