Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC) representative Sadon Blah informed that the HNLC peace talks are in progress.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a programme on October 21, he said, “The first meeting was held among themselves in Bangladesh and another is also scheduled.”
It may be mentioned that the HNLC has authorised its vice-chairman Manbhalang Jyrwa, political secretary Aristerwell Thongni, and foreign secretary Phrangkupar Diengdoh and two of their PSOs (Personal Security officers) Aiborlem Marbaniang and Storgy Lyngdoh to participate in the ongoing tripartite peace talks between the Indian union, government of Meghalaya and the HNLC.
Earlier on August 25, Blah, who is also the president of Hynniewtrep National Youth Front (HNYF), had informed that five leaders of the outfit have arrived in the state for peace talks with the government.
