The Central Puja Committee’s (CPC) Late SK Agarwal Memorial Drum Beat (Dhak) Competition was held at Rilbong Puja Pandal, Shillong, on October 22.
The competition was held in two categories: individual and group.
In the individual category, Rilbong Durga Puja Committee bagged the 1st prize, followed by RR Colony Saradiya Utsav Committee winning the 2nd prize, and Kenchs’ Trace Durga Puja Committee winning the 3rd prize. Survey of India (SOI) Estate Durga Puja Committee won the 4th prize.
In the group category, Rilbong Durga Puja Committee again bagged the 1st prize, followed by R.R.Colony Saradiya Utsav Samiti taking the 2nd place, and Kenches’ Trace Durga Puja Committee the 3rd.
Besides, the Audit Estate Durga Puja Committee, Mogtinagar , Shillong ( Lone Female Drum-Beaters Group) was given Special Prizes with Medals for their performance.
In addition to that three consolation prizes were given to Pragati Sangha Durga Puja Committee, Keating Road, Doegon Line Durga Puja Committee, and Barapathar (Ganesh Mandie, Mawbah) Durga Puja Committee for their good performance.
Winners of the competition will be awarded with Cash Prizes along with a Medals which are being sponsored by Ajay Agarwal in loving memory of his father late Shiv Kumar Agarwal (former Chief Adviser of CPC).
Late S.K.Agarwal Memorial Running Trophy will be awarded to the winning (group champion) Durga Puja Committee in CPC’s Valedictory Function to be held after Chhath Puja.
