SHILLONG:
Makarmi Ragui, Akumsanen Jamir won the doubles badminton competition held on October 4 and 5 as a part of the 12-year anniversary celebration, organised by Seng Samla Lower-Lumparing.
Ricky Shullai presided over the competition as the chief guest.
32 teams had participated in 2-day competition where Makarmi Ragui & Akumsanen Jamir Defeated Mark Alistair Laloo & Ram Najiar in straight sets (25-23,21-19).
The winner Makarmi Ragui and Akumsanen Jamir were awarded a cash prize of Rs 10000, and the runners-up Mark Alistair Laloo and Ram Najiar were awarded a cash prize of Rs 5000.
There was also one exhibition match, played between Gavin kharbukhi and Raynell Kharbukhi, where Raynell Kharbukhi defeated Gavin Kharbukhi in straight sets 21-11,21-17.
