A murder took place in Monabari area of South West Garo Hills district, bordering Mankachar in Assam, on the evening of June 13 in which a man stabbed his elder brother leading to his death.
The incident occurred in Ichakuri village under Monabari police outpost wherein one person namely Akirul Islam (32 years) of Ichakuri was fatally stabbed by his younger brother Ajadul Islam (28 years).
The altercation happened in their residence and it took a fatal turn when the younger one stabbed his elder brother right outside the house.
The younger brother (accused) later tried to save the injured brother by taking him to Mankachar CHC in Assam but the attending doctor at the hospital declared the victim as brought dead.
The accused person has been arrested by police.
