MoS accuses CM of taking credit for PM Modi’s hard work

"Many non-BJP chief ministers tend to take credit for all the hard work of PM Modi and his government by calling our schemes theirs but, it is our endeavour to effectively communicate the truth to the people of Meghalaya," MoS Rajeev Chandrasekhar said.

SHILLONG:

Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar, on January 13, accused many non-BJP chief ministers, including Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma of taking credit for all the efforts and hard work invested by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government in the state and Northeast India as a whole in the last five years.

Chandrasekhar said this while speaking to a section of the media in Shillong during his two-day visit to the state on January 13.

“Many non-BJP chief ministers tend to take credit for all the hard work of PM Modi and his government by calling our schemes theirs but, it is our endeavour to effectively communicate the truth to the people of Meghalaya,” the MoS said.

He asserted that during the last five years, Prime Minister Modi and his government have put in a lot of effort to develop the state and the region and, “it is not unusual for others to steal credit since they have nothing to show on their own.”

He believed that if there is a double-engine government in Meghalaya under the leadership of the BJP, the future of the state and its people can be very bright.
