A Myanmar plane veered off the runway at Lengpui Airport on January 23, 2024, at 10:19 am. Sources indicate that the aircraft was intended to pick up Myanmar soldiers who had fled the Lawngtlai district amid clashes between the Myanmar army and a civilian army.
Upon landing at Lengpui Airport in Mizoram, the plane veered off the runway before reaching the terminal. Two individuals sustained injuries, while the remaining 12 passengers were reported to be safe with minor injuries.
