NEOG 2022: Arunachal dominates early taekwondo events

The gold medallists for Arunachal were Adit Tulang, Khinsan Wangsu and Radha Bangsia.

SHILLONG:
Three gold medals were won by Arunachal Pradesh on the opening day of the taekwondo competitions of the 2nd North East Olympic Games, held at the Assam Rifles Indoor Stadium in Laitkor.
The gold medallists for Arunachal were Adit Tulang (junior boys individual poomsae), Khinsan Wangsu (junior girls individual poomsae) and Radha Bangsia (senior girls individual poomsae). Mizoram’s Daniel Lalhumthanga won the other gold in senior boys individual poomsae.
The silver medals were claimed by Assam’s Nishant Singh Hazari (junior boys), Arunachal’s Ontey Khamblai (senior boys), Mizoram’s Pansy Rampanzeli (junior girls) and Sikkim’s Chultem Palmu Bhutia.
Two bronze medals were also awarded to those in third and fourth.
