No concept of provisional PRC for applying MBBS seats through state quota: Ampareen

SHILLONG:

Health Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh has said that there is no concept of provisional Permanent Residential Certificate (PRC), and of all the candidates applying for MBBS seats under state quota, one student’s seat was cancelled.

This came after the state health department had revoked the nomination of one Ayush Kumar for MBBS during the academic year 2023-24 under the open category against the state quota.
“We have already communicated accordingly to the respective district heads, the DCs of various districts to immediately verify all documents submitted by students applying for the MBBS seats and other medical allied courses…,” Lyngdoh said.
“We have sent back all the documents to the respective DCs to double check and indicate of all those that were in question and one student’s seat was cancelled,” she added.
To a question, Lyngdoh said, “Everybody apparently cleared as this was not in the hands of the health department as line districts need to ensure that they send the correct documents for eligibility of students applying for these medical and allied courses through government quota.”
