SHILLONG:
Health Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh, on April 28, said that the government will not take any immediate decision on Covid, but precautionary measures will be advised to all citizens.
Speaking to media persons, Lyngdoh said that the department is not going to jump guns and presume that things will go out of control.
When asked that the majority of the citizens have not taken booster doses of Covid, and how will the government address the issue, the health minister said that Covid vaccine must be voluntarily taken by the citizens, and it cannot be forced on anyone.
“We leave it to the public to decide, this is the reason why we are yet to take a call as to what exactly will be the formula that the government will propose. We will be sitting with the Chief Minister on Monday and will have better details,” she said.
