No party can take credit for schemes: Kyrmen Shylla

He said if the chief minister or the NPP are claiming that FOCUS is their scheme then it is wrong as they have no right to do that.

SHILLONG:

United Democratic Party (UDP) leader and cabinet minister Kyrmen Shylla on December 20 said no political party can take credit on the implementation of any government schemes in the state.

While reacting to allegations that FOCUS is being made an NPP scheme, he said, “The scheme given to the public does not belong to any political party. We cannot say that this scheme belongs to the NPP or the UDP as it belongs to the people of the state.”

He said if the chief minister or the NPP are claiming that FOCUS is their scheme then it is wrong as they have no right to do that.

Stating that allegations will always be there, Shylla however urged the people to accept the scheme if it is benefiting them instead of listening to others.

“If what other political parties are alleging the chief minister (pertaining to FOCUS) is true, it is for the people to take action in 2023 but if it is not then they should know what to do next,” he asserted.
