No timeframe fixed on re-starting recruitment process

Informing that many aspects have to be looked at before starting the process of recruitment, she also said that the government is willing to listen to the voice of the public at large on the issue.

SHILLONG:

Cabinet Minister and chairperson of the Roster Committee Ampareen Lyngdoh, on June 1, said that the government will make necessary announcements on the recruitment process as and when all political parties are on the same page about the implementation of the Reservation Policy and the Roster system, and that all recruitments will be put on hold for now.

Briefing media persons today, Lyngdoh said, “We cannot have a truncated view; this is a democracy. Let us bring on board everyone. If somebody has a problem, they should indicate the problem, then collectively after three weeks, we will likely be able to understand what will happen, but as of now, we have recommended to the government to put all recruitments on hold.”

Informing that many aspects have to be looked at before starting the process of recruitment, she also said that the government is willing to listen to the voice of the public at large on the issue.

Asked about the timeframe to re-start the recruitment process, Lyngdoh said, “To a question on how long this will take again will be something that the government will be engaging in. I will not be able to give a specific timeframe.”
