SHILLONG:
The National People’s Party (NPP) will hold an election rally on January 12 at Polo Ground, Shillong, and will announce the name of candidates on the same day.
Sources in the party told The Meghalayan that the party has already started announcing candidates during the public meetings but the main event would be on January 12.
It may be mentioned that People’s Democratic Front (PDF) Hamlet Dohling, Jason Sawkmie Mawlong and Samlin Malngiang will likely tender their resignation on Wednesday (January 4).
The NPP has already announced key candidates who will be contesting from various constituencies in public meetings held from time to time when MLAs or prominent persons join the party.
