Passing Out Parade marks milestone for 2nd batch of Agniveer recruits at 58 Gorkha training centre

SHILLONG:

The Passing Out Parade for the 2nd Batch of Agniveer Recruits of the 58 Gorkha training Centre took place on October 3 at Harish Parade Ground, 58 GTC, Happy Valley, Shillong.

This event marked a significant achievement for 73 recruits who successfully completed their demanding Recruit training, symbolising their dedication and commitment to serving the nation.

The grand ceremony was held at the esteemed 58 Gorkha Training Centre and was a pivotal moment for the recruits as they embarked on their careers in service to the nation. The Passing Out Parade stood as a testament to the hard work and determination of the recruits.

Brig Robi Kapoor, the Commandant of the 58 Gorkha Training Centre, reviewed the parade and offered his congratulations to the young soldiers on completing the rigorous training. He commended their readiness to face the challenges that await them in their service to the nation. In his address, the Commandant emphasized the values of valour, honour, ethos, sacrifice, and prioritizing service before self, aligning with the Indian Army’s finest traditions.

During the presentation ceremony, Recruit Agniveer Edwin Augustine Rai was honored with the titles of the Overall Best Recruit and Best Recruit of 8 Gorkha Rifles. Additionally, Agniveer Mohit Chhetri received the title of Best Recruit of 5 Gorkha Rifles (Frontier Force), recognizing their outstanding performance and dedication throughout the training.
