Police retrieves human skeleton from river in Ri Bhoi

Additionally, the gender has not been established, and it is presumed that the skeleton had been in the river for a considerable amount of time. Till the time of filing this report, no one had come forward to claim the remains.

NONGPOH:

The Ri Bhoi police retrieved a human skeleton from a river located at Paham Mawlien, 20th Mile, on May 14.

The Superintendent of Police (SP), Ri Bhoi, stated in a report that Khurgun Sylliang, the village headman of Paham Mawlein, had given information that the public spotted a skeleton in the river at around 10 am.

Subsequently, the police rushed to the scene to retrieve the skeleton, which was then taken to the Civil Hospital, Nongpoh, for a post-mortem examination.

Additionally, the gender has not been established, and it is presumed that the skeleton had been in the river for a considerable amount of time. Till the time of filing this report, no one had come forward to claim the remains.
