SHILLONG:
Senior citizens and Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) exercised home voting in various parts of Sohiong on April 28.
Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) FR Kharkongor informed that over 139 senior citizens and 54 PwDs have applied through form 12 D to cast their votes through home voting.
Absentee voters have started casting their vote through the postal ballot for the upcoming Sohiong election.
It may be mentioned that polling was postponed in Sohiong following the death of United Democratic Party (UDP) and former minister HDR Lyngdoh on February 20 and polling will be held on May 10.
