SHILLONG:
Day 5 of the filing of nominations saw several prominent leaders coming forward to file their papers in their respective DC offices across Meghalaya.
Among them, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Pynthorumkhrah Constituency A L Hek, United Democratic Party (UDP) candidate from Nongthymmai constituency, Jemino Mawthoh, Congress candidate from East Shillong constituency, Manuel Badwar, TMC state chief Charles Pyngrope, and senior journalist and HSPDP candidate from Mawsynram constituency, Starfing Pdahkaseij were some of the candidates who filed their nominations today.
Five-time legislator, Hek was accompanied by Jitendra Singh Union Minister, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of India along with his supporters.
Similarly, Mawtoh, and Pyngrope were also accompanied by a large number of supporters.
