SHILLONG:
A Zero Hour notice for a discussion on the issue of killing of a former HNLC general secretary Cheristerfield Thangkhiew in an alleged fake encounter at his residence in the wee houses of August 13, last year, was disallowed by the Speaker, Metbah Lyngdoh, the ground that the matter is sub judice.
Lyngdoh informed the House about the Zero Hour notice by suspended Congress legislator from Mawlai PT Sawkmie on the family members of Thangkhiew awaiting the inquiry report into the incident.
“(However), a letter was received from the chief minister that the matter is under judicial inquiry and it is sub judice. Therefore, the Zero Hour notice will not be discussed,” he declared.
