In view of the decline in the number of Covid cases in the state, the government has decided to re-open all pre-primary schools by January 31.

In a notification issued on January 29, joint secretary Chandni Chandran said that the decision was taken after the Department of School Education reviewed the overall Covid situation in the state.

“All schools (pre-primary to Class XII) and madrassas are hereby allowed to function normally with strict maintenance of Covid appropriate behaviour from 31/01/2022,” she said.

Chandran also informed that this order shall be applicable to all government (including TTAADC), Govt. aided and un-aided private schools, and madrassas.

Yesterday, Tripura recorded 310 cases after samples from 5026 people were collected.
