AGARTALA:
Troops of the 21 Assam Rifles seized Cannabis worth Rs 85 lakh from Dhanicherra village in Tripura’s Unakoti district on October 5.
Two persons Dhananjoy Reang and Nayan Kr Chakma were also arrested in connection with the seizure.
“Based on a tip-off, the Assam Rifles launched patrolling and apprehended the said individuals with 204.78 kg of Ganja,” a statement from the paramilitary force read.
Meanwhile, the seized items and apprehended individuals were handed over to police for further investigation and legal proceedings.
