SHILLONG:
General Secretary of the United Democratic Party (UDP) Jemino Mawthoh, on May 25, visited Voice of the People Party (VPP) chief Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit who had been camping at the parking lot in front of the Additional Secretariat since May 23 to pressurise the government to review the reservation policy.
Speaking to reporters, Mawthoh stated that the VPP has the backing of the UDP since their drive for seeing the reservation system examined is rational.
He expressed the hope that the government will address this issue, and added that the MLAs and MDCs will meet with the government to discuss this issue.
