SHILLONG:
Cabinet minister and working president of the United Democratic Party (UDP) Paul Lyngdoh, on April 18, said that UDP will Sohiong, increasing the party’s seat tally to 12, double of what the party got in the 2018 assembly polls.
When asked whether the UDP will ask for one more cabinet berth if it wins Sohiong, Paul said, “It is too premature to talk about that.”
To a question on unification of the regional parties in the state, the UDP leader said, the party has always campaigned for unifying the regional forces and, “we will keep harping on that. We never know, maybe after Sohiong, I might materialise.”
