Shillong:
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has expressed confidence that the government will be able to put up cinema halls in every district across the state by the end of the term to help filmmakers.
Speaking to reporters on Friday on the sidelines of a programme, he said that the filmmaking industry has a huge potential in the state which has not been able to capture it.
“We are working towards having a policy where we have announced in the budget to give funds to local filmmakers so that they can start making movies. We are working towards setting up cinema halls in every district.”
