Integrated health camp launched at Khliehriat

A total of 63 static camps will be set up in 63 villages along with outreach services covering all 198 villages of the district. The health services will include eye check up, dental check up, Screening for TB, Hepatitis, Diabetes, Hypertension, HIV and STI. 

KHLIEHRIAT: 

A health camp was launched on June 2 in East Jaintia Hills for residents of 63 villages with an additional outreach services for 198 more.

A total of 63 static camps will be set up in 63 villages along with outreach services covering all 198 villages of the district. The health services will include eye check up, dental check up, Screening for TB, Hepatitis, Diabetes, Hypertension, HIV and STI.

Revenue & Disaster Management department minister Kyrmen Shylla launched the health camp, organised by a collaboration of Meghalaya AIDS Control Society, DMHO Office and other organisations such as Bandara Eye Clinic and Nethralaya at Khliehriat West Community hall.

EJH DC Abhilash Baranwal, project director Meghalaya Aids Control Society and the District Medical and Health Officer were present at the launch.

TAMS launch in EJH

The Teacher Attendance Monitoring System (TAMS) was also launched on the same day at DC office conference room in presence of Shylla.

The app will be used to monitor the attendance of teachers. The unique features of this app include facial recognition technology, geo-fencing and recording the time spent in school.

Facial recognition will put a stop to proxy attendance by teachers. Geo-fencing will ensure that the teachers can only register their attendance from the school campus.

The app will enable the office to monitor the attendance of teachers in the school. The local headmen were also present during the launch. The app will be made fully function after testing till June 15.
