NONGPOH:
Mawhati MLA, Dasakhiatbha Lamare handed over work orders to 80 different villages under Mawhati Constituency on July 23.
The work orders are from the Special Rural Works Programme (SRWP) scheme of 2018-2019 and 2020-2021.
Speaking at the programme, Lamare said he was happy as he got the chance to release the work order as it was pending due to Covid-19 pandemic.
He also urged the villagers to use it properly for the development of the village and the constituency as a whole.
The MLA also announced that the foundation stone for project of Umsning to Sonidan road which is 40 km will open soon and the construction will also start. The project is estimated at Rs 114 crore.
The programme was also attended by NPP leaders, village heads and Mawhati NPP candidate Shemphang Lyngdoh who will contest the upcoming polls next year.
