SHILLONG:
A 17-year-old girl from the city who had gone missing from St. Margaret’s School since June 2, 2023, was traced to West Bengal on June 13.
According to East Khasi Hills police, her family had filed a complaint that the teenage girl had gone missing from St Margaret’s School, Laitumkhrah.
In this connection a case was registered vide Laitumkhrah PS Case No. 53 (06) 2023 U/S 363 IPC.
Continuous efforts were made to trace the missing girl.
On acquiring some clues on the matter, a police team from East Khasi Hills District led by Sub-Inspector Md. Kayum proceeded to West Bengal in search of the missing girl and found her on June 12, from Malda Town, West Bengal.
