TURA:
The increasing water level at Ganol River due to heavy rain in the past couple of days has put many low-lying areas in West Garo Hills in danger as the overflowing water is reported to have inundated a few areas in the plain belt area.
The low-lying area of Chibragre, a scenic picnic spot outside of Tura and close to the 100 drums Wangala Village has been reported to be under water, flowing from the nearby Ganol River.
The weather department has forecast heavy rainfall and thunderstorm for the next few days, and the authorities are taking precautionary measures.
