United Democratic Party (UDP) candidate Titosstarwell Chyne has written to the Chief Election Officer (CEO) seeking recounting of votes at the Sohra constituency.
In response, the Joint Chief Electoral Officer has written to the Sub Divisional Officer (El), Sohra Civil Sub Division, Sohra, directing the officer to convene a meeting with the complainant and to explain to the candidate the various provisions/instructions of the Election Commission of India pertaining to counting of votes and declaration of results and to share all relevant documents/information of the provisions/guidelines/instructions with the complainant.
